Not sure if 18 year old Haley would ever think she’d be a fan of podcasts, when I had all of my reality television shows bookmarked as my favorites since maybe 16…
Regardless, we are now in an era where podcasts are “hot” and I’ve full-fledged hopped on that train. I remember the first podcast I listened too was Serial, as it was the talk of the town, but since I have gone down many avenues of podcasts and have narrowed down my current favorites. I broke them out by “moods” as I realized I have a podcast for many different moods, depending on what I am feeling that day. Hope you enjoy, and let me know if you are listening to any of these too! 😉 FYI – I linked out all podcasts to Spotify so you can find them!
for the darker side…
Crime Junkie
So when I got into a Dateline hole about a year ago (that has only gotten worse since) I realized, hm maybe I’d like murder/thriller podcasts? I’ve been trying to find the good ones since – the ones that get past all the “bullshit theories” and get straight to the point – enter Crime Junkie. Two hosts who simply do just that, get straight to the point within 30-45 min. I love them and highly recommend!
To Live & Die in LA
Snaps to my boyfriend for getting me hooked on this one – Neil Strauss, the amazing Rolling Stones journalist, narrates the story of an aspiring actress in LA who suddenly disappears. The story takes SO many twists and turns, and you will be itching for the next episode!!
For the ladies in the place….
Girls Gotta Eat
I have posted about these ladies once or twice before on my IG ( I like to think before they got big – humble brag ) but when I was single this time last year, I loved hearing two New York ladies talking about the current dating scene and their personal experiences. Hysterical and always enjoy myself listening to them and their lineup of amazing guests!
LadyGang
I’ve been following the LadyGang for a solid year and a half now – and they just got their own TV show! I love the combination of the three ladies (Keltie Knight, Jac Vanek and Becca Tobin. All have such different personalities which I think makes for the best podcast. They also have Real Housewives as their guests sometimes and that’s enough for me 🙂
for those looking for self growth
Self Service + Girl Boss Radio
Not a surprise if you know me or have read my past posts, your girl struggles with anxiety on a daily basis. Sometimes listening to celebrities or even prominent people in the space speak about their experiences and advice can turn my outlook upside down, and help me understand it’s not just me experiencing these feelings. Self Service considers themselves an “inner-beauty school” which, um, I love??? Highly recommend this for anyone looking to explore and understand their feelings a bit deeper.
